When you injure your lifting techniques improperly, a strain/sprain will take one to two weeks to heal, a vertebra that has popped will take weeks or months to heal, and a blown disc will take anywhere from three months to a year to heal.
It’s very important to understand proper techniques for lifting anything that is heavy or bulky.
First bring the legs wider than shoulder width.
Lower your legs, lift your head, straighten your back, and lift.
Never approach a lift from the side, lift straight, then turn your body while you are in a strong position.
